The crown for the Arena is a giant 13-ton media cube by Tammerneon Oy. The cube is the size of a two-storey house. The surface area of the cube is 196 m2 and it consists of approximately 400 cabinets and has over 3 million LEDs. Depending on the event Tammerneon’s media cube can be utilized at the top of the ceiling or on the floor. It has versatile uses which will create a platform for the imagination of event organizers to come up with new ideas in a whole new way. In addition to this Tammerneon delivers over 600 meters of LED screen ribbons and over 400 different kinds of LED screens are installed inside and outside of the new Arena.
Building the media cube has been a great opportunity for Tammerneon to show what really can be done with modern illuminated advertising platforms and media screens. “It has been a privilege and extremely satisfying to build such a unique and beautiful audio-visual platform for Tampere’s Nokia Arena”, says Tammerneon’s sales and marketing director Timo Mattila. “I am proudly and excitedly waiting for the opening ceremonies in December and also other coming events where the potential of the new media cube will be revealed. Possibilities are vast for event producers and also for advertisers”, says Mattila. “This production underlines our ability to deliver extremely unique and tailored solutions even for extremely demanding sites.”
